Wheat State Falcons Chapter

Falcon Club of America (FCA)

The Wheat State Chapter was chartered as a chapter of the Falcon Club of America in 1997 by Brenda Chamberlain in Newton, Kansas. The chapter was originally formed with eight FCA member families. Brenda was unanimously voted in as our first President and stayed for two years. In 1999, Cliff McKay, was elected as President and has served as such since that point.

We attended our first FCA National meet as a chapter in 1998 out in Breckenridge, CO., with five FCA member families attending. We cruised out to Colorado as a group which turned out to be fun time for us all.

We have had members at almost every FCA National since that point in time. We have also had members attend numerous Regional events too.

The Wheat State Falcons Chapter hosted our own local charity car show in Valley Center KS during their Fall Festival in Oct 2001. We continued to host that event thru 2005. We have used the funds raised every year to help local small charities with donations. We have found it quite a rewarding effort.

The Wheat State Falcons Chapter then hosted our own local charity car show in Derby KS during their Derby Days Summer Festival in June 2006 & 2007.

The Wheat State Falcons Chapter held our first Regional in October 2006 at Wichita, KS. It was quite a lot of work but we enjoyed doing it. We had 60 plus Falcons in attendance. If we would only have had beautiful weather for both days it might have been an even bigger show!

In August of 2019 elections were held and the new officers elected are Steve Preston(President) Jerry Gentry(Vice President), Chris Slifko (Secretary) Shelley Nelson (Treasurer)
